Pest Control in South & Central Mumbai
Cockroach, rodent, termite, bed bug and mosquito control for homes, housing societies and offices in Worli, Dadar and the neighbourhoods between them. We use WHO and CIB-approved products and issue a treatment certificate after every visit.
What drives pest problems in South and Central Mumbai
The island city has some of Mumbai's oldest housing stock: cessed buildings, chawls and pre-war apartment blocks, many of them now being redeveloped next to brand-new towers. The two kinds of building fail in different ways.
- Older buildings share drainage stacks, ducts and gullies, the narrow service passages between buildings. Cockroaches and rats move freely between flats, so treating one flat while the neighbours don't is a common reason treatments "stop working" after a few weeks. Old wooden staircases, doors and lofts also give termites a foothold.
- New towers have plumbing and electrical shafts, false ceilings, podium parking and basements. Pests use the shafts as highways between floors, and the basement and garbage room are where rodent problems start.
- Redevelopment sites hold water in curing ponds, lift pits and debris during the monsoon, which is exactly where the urban malaria mosquito, Anopheles stephensi, breeds. The BMC's insecticide department inspects construction sites for breeding.
- Offices and restaurants in Worli and Lower Parel need treatment that works around opening hours and produces paperwork for audits and food-safety inspections.
How we approach a building here
For a single flat we treat the kitchen, bathrooms and entry points and tell you honestly if the source is in a shared duct. For a housing society we quote for the common areas too: drainage chambers, shafts, the garbage area, the meter room and the terrace tank surroundings. Treating these once a quarter under an annual maintenance contract (AMC) is usually cheaper than repeated call-outs from individual flats.
